The number of jets in a system can be varied between 12 and 32, dependent upon:
- the size of the bath;
- the individual specific results required - as will the jets locations, and
- the budget.
They must be in pairs, to balance the system.
The most important parts of the body for hydro-massage are the back muscles and the soles of the feet. Jets are positioned for muscle and tissue. It is inadvisable to direct jets on the spinal column itself.
We provide low-profile jets at the ends of a bath - where a bather's body is in close proximity. All other jets have directional eyeballs. Both types can be adjusted individually for flow control from a gentle massage to a powerful toning action; in addition to the general controls which affect all jets.
 In addition both types of jet can be simply and easily extracted in the event of an unexpected need. There is a non-return valve in each jet airline both to prevent backflow and to maintain system balance and performance. Jets and controls are available in white, chrome or antique gold finish.
In order to achieve full drainage after each use, and hygiene at all times, an integrated drainage system ensures that pump, pipes and jets all drain freely and completely through the waste every time the bath is emptied - as a result no water dribbles from the jets causing watermarks, or leaves a residue in the pump; and hygiene control is maximised.
For the same reason all piping is rigid - to avoid sagging or distortion, and accumulation of debris. And a Surflo safety system automatically puts the pump on standby in the event of an obstruction. Once the obstruction is removed the pump immediately resumes normal operation.
Our pumps, which are supplied to European standards, are produced from the latest moulding and sonic weld assembly techniques, with a run dry capability in excess of 3000 hours if accidentally left on.
