Inset - Drop In/Undermounted Baths
With the wide and growing range of marble, stone, tile, and composite surfaces, now available, has come the growing use of baths which can be inset in (often called ‘drop in’), or undermounted to, a deck; either to create contrast or to complete the whole. If undermounted, the opening can ‘lip’ the rim of the bath bowl or be laid back from it.
Each bath is normally supplied with rim height as shown in the specifications but can be increased or decreased for an additional charge, as can the external dimensions of any rectangular bath. Furthermore, although the majority of our baths are deeper than those of other manufacturers, they can be modified to give extra depth.
Each inset/undermount bath can be an island, or a corner bath lying across an angle, or be set against a wall, or into a recess.
